My Top 5 Skills
After taking the Cliffton StrengthsFinder Assessment, these were the five skills ranked highest.
Positivity
My first strength, positivity, means that I am very enthusiastic about life, through the good and bad times. For the most part, I have the ability to see the bright side of all circumstances. I have used my strength of positivity in my outlook of my struggle with health issues over the last 10 months. Through the hardship of suffering an autoimmune disease, I have stayed positive, knowing that I am learning and growing from this experience and it will only make me stronger.
Belief
My belief strength means that I have very strong values that I apply to every area of my life and helps dictate my decision-making. This strength has allowed me to define my future career goal of nonprofit event planning. This dream has been unwavering since the beginning of my time at IUPUI because of my core values.
Achiever
My achiever strength means that I find great satisfaction in achieving my goals and persevering to complete tasks. An example of utilizing my achiever skills is doing my best in school, which has led to my being named a Chancellor's Scholar for the IUPUI Honor's College.
Responsibility
In regards to my strength of responsibility, I take ownership of what I do and say, always doing my absolute best to keep my word. One way I implement this in my life is in team projects. I always meet deadlines and seek to encourage and help others to do the same so that we can all achieve success.
Discipline
I am very organized when it comes to all aspects of my life. For example, I closely follow a planner and schedule to ensure that I complete all of my assignments in a timely manner with my best effort. This has led to great success thus far in my collegiate career.
